January 5, First destination

West Palm Beach to Los Angeles on American Airlines.
Four suitcases have already left by FedEx a week ago; the other four will accompany us on the flight to Los Angeles:
Fancy evening clothes, evening clothes, sports clothes, bathing suits, warm clothes for the mountain and other cooler areas,  a mountain of shoes, medications, dopp kits, cameras, electronics: Computer, Kindle, Tablets (all cords and chargers), IPod with speakers, Kodak frame nonstop viewing family pictures, telephones...but
Not the kitchen sink! Picture will follow once on board.

Our first night in Los Angeles will be at Hotel Montage Beverly Hills where a reception and dinner is organised for the "privileged' one's going around the world. .
Los Angeles : A first for Anči!

And these is our new home for the next 113 days :

Our journey began early in the morning of January 5th when Brother Chris and wife Kathy picked us very early morning and drove us to West Palm Beach airport.   We boarded an AA 737 for a non-stop flight to Los Angeles.

Silver Sea representative picked us up and we checked into the hotel
Montage in Beverly Hills.

Time to refresh and get dressed for the “World Cruise “ welcoming party, where we met an amazing number of people  who were on a repeating “world “ cruise; this is our first one..  A dinner for 120 people going around the world, about 50 of them already on board since Fort Lauderdale, it is about ½ of the boat’s passenger capacity.

Next morning, our luggage was picked up and delivered to our room with the other 4 suitcases that Silversea, via Fedex picked up in a week before we left Florida

As soon as we got on board we were immediately greeted with hugs and kisses by so many of the crew who surrounded us on our voyage around South America 2 years ago. It felt like coming back home to our Silversea-Silver Whisper family. Our room beautifully decorated, and the numerous different presents made us feel so welcome. Great start!
